Ground GSD & Flight Planner
Nadir / near-nadir ground mapping based on Pix4D-style GSD. Same cameras as your facade tool: H30T, P1, M3E, M3T.
Hero palette:
#1A1A1A · Gold accents
Inputs
Assumes nadir or near-nadir imagery over relatively flat ground (Pix4D style).
GSD is computed as GSD = (H × pixel_pitch) / focal_length.
Change mode to solve either for GSD or for required altitude.
Outputs
Flight altitude AGL

GSD
–
Ground footprint (WxH)

Ground footprint area
–
Ground footprint diagram (top-down)
Diagram is schematic. Gold rectangle shows one image footprint; dashed lines show approximate flight line spacing and along-track spacing for your current inputs.
Flight line spacing
–
Derived from side overlap & footprint width.
Along-track spacing
–
Derived from forward overlap & footprint length.
Trigger interval
–
Along-track spacing ÷ ground speed.
For very low altitudes or strong terrain variation, this simple model will diverge from reality.
Use it as a planning tool, then verify with test passes.
